Brewster, NY

Don’t get the kids too excited – while it is called Bailey Park, there is no playground.  Bailey Park is a small patch of green open space on the west side of North Main Street in the Village of Brewster, between Oak Street and Michael Neuner Drive.   There is a small sign on the grass with the name of the park.  The sign says it was dedicated on October 1, 1995 – though I think that means the park, not the sign, because in the July 2011 mintues of the village’s board meetings there is talk about new signage for on the park and as of January 2013 the sign looks pretty new.  The property is .64 acres, and the tax map number is 67.26-1-1.  It is owned by the City of New York DEP.
